The 3/4 length Spenco Arch cushions are more suitable for narrow or 'hard-to-fit' shoes, where a full insole would make wearing the shoe uncomfortable. They give support to the arch, which helps to prevent and treat heel, shin and knee pain, but they provide less support than Spenco Orthotic Arch Supports.Sizes correspond to shoe sizes as follows: * XX-Small: (UK 2-3) * X-Small: (UK 4-5) * Small: (UK 5-6) * Medium: (UK 7-8) * Large: (UK 9-10) * X-Large: (UK 11-12) * XX-Large: (UK 13-14)These replacement 3/4 length arch supports are made from the same cushioning material as Spenco Standard Insoles, but have a soft arch cushion for extra comfort and support for the arch of the foot.Increased pronation of the foot (uncontrolled lowering of the arch) is a cause of running injuries, such as IlioTibial Band Friction Syndrome, shin splints and Plantar Fasciitis. Over pronation due to fallen arches or flat feet can lead to increased tension and pain in the IlioTibial Band when running.
